Who are the therapists?

Gilza Fort-Martinez, MS, LFMT


I am a Latina therapist, speaker and writer with more than 30 years of experience, graduated in Psychology from Barry University and with a Master's Degree from the University of Miami. I have dedicated myself to helping couples navigate relational transitions, and now specialize in helping women rebuild their self-love and self-confidence after a betrayal.

Likewise, I am a strong advocate for women who forge their own paths and live their authentic selves. Furthermore, I guide these women to renew a loving and healthy relationship with themselves and prepare to create new, even healthier relationships. I am the founder and CEO of Resolution Counseling Center, a private practice in Miami, Florida. I am also the creator of the program "Reclaim Your Happy Hour After Betrayal", a virtual space for emotional recovery after betrayal. Additionally, I have certifications in hypnotherapy, family therapy, and meditation.    

Maria Antonia Alfonso, MS, LPC, LMHC

I am a Latina therapist and coach. I graduated with a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Havana and completed licensure coursework at FIU. I have more than 30 years helping people with their mental and sexual health, as well as their relationships, and trauma resolution. I am convinced that in every crisis there is an opportunity, then I help my clients to see beyond the whirlwind of emotions that involve relational crises and/o breakups, to improve their relationship with themselves and with others. I am the founder and CEO of the private practice "Face to Face Counseling Services, LLC" with virtual services available in DC, Virginia, and Florida. I have created the online project "Lucid Hearts" to take relationship education beyond the boundaries of my practice's therapy space. I am currently part of a Certification program in Trauma Stress Studies and a Clinical Certification for the Treatment of Narcissistic Abuse
